no bc the “fuck the patriarchy keychain” line is so genius bc its always the men who advertise their wokeness that end up treating the women in their lives the worst in my expirence. like they think by doing the bare minimum or going to one protest that its then okay to turn around with their superiority complex and emotional berate the woman close to them. it just proves once again that straight white men often times use women’s rights as tool to prevent getting called out for their shit and protect themselves instead of actually caring.
the people trying to invalidate taylor’s trauma on being in two very an emotionally abusive relationships back to back with both men being 10+ years older than her when she was 19 and 20 by just standing up and being like ‘but she dated two eighteen year olds when she was 22/23’, as if those relationships are even on the same level of fucked up and arent direct trauma responses to what she was put through. therefore making her look like the bad guy in that situation and once again letting the 30+ year old men who date teenagers get off scot free and putting the blame on the victim in those situations. way to be part of the problem.
also side note: it really is just the perfect example of how fucked up outrage culture is. like one celebrity calls out someone who did something wrong and explains how it affected them, but then there’s always some people will stand up all proud and be like ‘okay but you did a thing that isn’t even remotely as bad but i need to make your original point null and void and knock you off the woke pedestal in order to make room for myself’.
